Foshay Learning Center &
Elizabeth Street Learning Center,
Los Angeles Unified School District
Planning and construction of two new facilities for 400 students, Grades 1-6. Several types of pre-manufactured, portable buildings were sited, and then painted and landscaped in an extraordinary manner.
Additionally at the Foshay Middle School, WEA worked with Arthur Golding and Associates to design and document three computer instruction classrooms within an existing one-story classroom building. Three local area networks (LAN) were developed, linking 90 student computers plus video projection systems and provisions for a future fiber optic network. New HVAC and electrical systems were also required to support the technology classrooms.
